LUGHNASADH

Lughnasadh is the harvest festival in the old calendar. It is the festival of Lugh, who created the festival in honour of his stepmother Tailtiu. It is the festival of the assembly on a height, and even until fairly recent times, the people of rural Ireland would have gathered on the first Sunday of August to celebrate. It is associated with horses, racing and games. To this day, there are many mountains named after Lugh. He is a god of great importance throughout the Celtic world, and we will be studying his tales at this festival.
We will also be journeying to the NUINN [ASH] ogham. On each of the eight festivals, we will be undertaking the study of, and journey to, an ogham which resonates with the energy of that particular festival or time of year.

In time it may be necessary to hire a larger space to facilitate a bigger group. When this happens, unfortunately I will have to charge more for weekend workshops to cover the cost of the hired space. ]
